There are many interesting techniques you
can use with Art clay silver
(aka precious metal clay), many of which are similar to using Fimo or
other polymer clay substances. The difference is that with Art Clay
Silver you get solid silver jewellery at the end!
ACS can be combined with dichroic and other fused glass, ceramics, enamels
and resins. The almost endless possibilities makes this a very exciting
and rewarding medium to work with.
Open Studio sessions - Ideal if you do not
have your own kiln
It is advisable to start with a few simple, yet very effective, techniques
covered in our workshops and
then progress to some more challenging pieces.
As mentioned above, you may attend our jewellery making sessions on a
time and material basis once you have covered some of the basics (either
with us or elsewhere). Help and advice will be available, however they are
not teaching sessions. It is an ideal way to move forward with your
techniques, make use of our Kiln firing facilities and try out a range of
tools and equipment before you buy your own.
The
cost is £15 for up to four hours which
includes kiln firing and use
of all
of our ACS tools and equipment.
In addition you pay for any materials used.
Open Studio sessions currently on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Starter Kit
Our Starter Kit is available for £65 when you book a course with us.
It contains
Art Clay and Art Clay paste as well as the basic tools to get you started.
